The smell of fear, panic, and soiled undies quickly spread throughout the Twitter community, today, as it appeared the essential social networking site had fallen victim to hackers. It was just a massive internet crap fest, I tell ya!
Celebrities were freaking out big time when they logged into their accounts and saw that their many thousands of followers -- or millions, in some cases -- had suddenly vanished. Christ, can you imagine the mega load someone like Ashton Kutcher dropped in his pants?
Ahh, but the panic and BMs were all for nothing. What happened, apparently, was the site had been hit by a bug of some sort, necessitating the need to set the follower status back to zero on millions of accounts.
Well, it's all over now, and everything is back to normal. After a shower and change of drawers, Hollywood types could return to the usual routine of typing vacuous messages of 140 characters or less, and clicking submit. It's all good.
